Turbans-Asgstyle!

I have always had a love for scarves, because of the versatility they provide for many different outfits. I like wearing them in a more traditional way, around the neck, on a plain handbag, around my head, as a bow tie, etc. Just recently, I was inspired by the turbans the June Ambrose has been known to wear and tried the look out for myself. I fell in love! These are perfect for any bad hair day or a day when your running late(which I'm notorious for) and you just want a quick fix. And the Winning Look Is.....

"It's Keri Baby...." I chose the look inspired by Keri Hilson. The weather forecast for Jacksonville, FL(my departure city) called for 90% chance of rain and I did not want to take a chance of ruining a pair of heels, so the military boot and scarf get up was the winner!!! Tell me what you all think!

Hey guys! Sorry it's been so long since my last post, I've been so busy planning my Memorial Trip to Las Vegas!!!! It's my 1st visit there and I'm so excited. I can't stop thinking about the wonderful shopping, the nightclubs, and of course the JACKPOT that I'm hoping to hit at the Casinos! Anyway, like most girls, here it is the night before I fly out and I'm still not sure what to wear to the airport. I definitely want my look to be comfy, effortless, and chic. While blogging tonight, I stumbled across so many inspiring looks. Who do you think rocked it out the best, Nicole, Keri, Jada or Kim K??? I'm loving them all, but I'll keep you guys posted on which one inspired the most!

Overcome your Obstcls!

I just got these new hot pair of heels called Obstcl-S from Steve Madden, of course. They retail for about $149.95 and are available here. Like many of my heels, it was love at 1st sight and I new that I needed these in my collection. They're going to be perfect for my upcoming Las Vegas trip! Hope you love as much as I do!

Red, Blue and Leopard!

I decided to incorporate all of these different colors in today's outfit along with the leopard print flats. My goal is to inspire all of those women out there who feel that leopard can only be worn with black, tan, or brown. I am a leopard fanatic and I feel that is looks great with practically any color! So if you have in your mind that you have to keep it simple with the leopard print, have some fun the next time you decide to wear a pair of leopard flats or heels! Throw on bold colors, such as red, yellow, purple, royal blue, or even pink!! Hope you enjoyed the outfit!

National Natural Hair Meet Up Day

I have just recently started rocking my natural hair again, so I have been looking for different events to attend for more info on hair maintenance. Pink Top and Green Suede Heels!

(What I Wore: Blazer- The Limited, Top-Express, Skirt- Charlotte Russe, Pumps- Steve Madden "Intrude", Clutch- Aldo, Sunglasses- H&M)

I just grabbed these green suede heels from work and it was love at 1st sight! I must say that I had to practice walking in these heels before wearing them out, since I have been so spoiled with my platformed wedges lately. But these babies were worth every awkward step. I decided to pair the heels with a pink chiffon bow tie top along with a silver brooch for some extra pizzazz. I am addicted to my white blazer right now because it adds a hint of sophistication with a cosmopolitan appeal. And of course, I had to throw in my old faithful clutch that brought all of the colors together. I loved this outfit because all of the pieces, with the exception of the shoes, are at least two years old; however never worn together, so it was just like new. Hope you all enjoy!

Really? Leather In the Spring??

Recently a coworker and I were discussing whether or not it's appropriate to wear leather in the Spring. I stated that I had a leather skirt that's been sitting in my closet for years that I have never worn and she stated that she just saw a gorgeous leather dress in the Gap, that she wanted to buy. The problem is, we live in Charleston, SC and the spring days can range from 70 to 90 degrees. I told her absolutely not to wear that leather dress in the spring, however, I would wear my leather mini skirt paired with a much lighter material on top for some type of balance.

Well after googling leather for the spring, I stood corrected, which was hard for me because I never like to admit when I'm wrong. But, we found there were several designers that incorporated leather in their Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. Some of these designers/retailers include Stella McCartney, Alice and Olivia for Neiman Marcus, Asos, Top Shop,etc. Below are a few leather pieces that will look great this Spring when paired with light weight spring fabrics. I will also show you guys my version of leather this spring a little later. Hope you like!
